I first watched this monstrosity years ago, shortly after it was released and I remember wondering who made it and why anybody gave them the money to do it. The man in question, Uwe Boll, became famous, or rather infamous, for taking video game properties and turning them into awful films. It’s kind of his thing now and it seems like he’s embracing it. Uwe is obviously very aware of what people think of him and his films, he is lambasted constantly on the Internet and talks about it in every interview I’ve ever heard with him. At one point he challenged a number of Internet film critics to a boxing match, a move that was obviously some kind of publicity stunt, and actually was kind of funny.…
