The sequel to our award winning* short “Apartment 32A” is here, and the mystery only deepens!
Who is the mysterious man downstairs? Is the bin-room really his home? Will these questions be answered? Will it be left open for a third instalment?
Fox has confirmed that Ridley Scott is proceeding with a sequel to Prometheus, and that Michael Fassbender and Noomi Rapace are signed on to return! However they’re looking around for writers because Damon Lindeloff is potentially not available.
Prometheus certainly split opinions: there were those that thought it was an amazing science fiction adventure and there were also dumb people that didn’t like it.
When the first preview of The Dark Knight Rises was shown in IMAX there was a lot of talk surrounding Bane’s voice. Many people said it was hard to understand what he was saying because of the mask. At the time it was suggested that they’d need to redub, or at least tidy up his lines to make them more intelligible.
Christopher Nolan allegedly stated that it was supposed to sound like that because the dude wears a mask and that’s what his voice sounds like so deal with it. However, when hunting around for a source for that “quote”, most articles seem to lead back to this Hollywood Reporter article, in which he actually states that “additional sound work would clear some of it up”.…
I love Bond films. All of them, even the “bad” ones. Although I don’t consider them bad, just not as good.
I’m also a big fan of Daniel Craig as Bond, I think he’s the best since Sean Connery.
While I admit that Quantum of Solace wasn’t the best film ever, I still really enjoyed it and I don’t have as many issues with the plot as others do. I thought it was a cool movie.
So bear that in mind when I say that the new trailer for Skyfall gives me boners.
In a move that I sincerely hope isn’t financially motivated, Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit has now been expanded from two films to three. I like to think PJ has enough respect for his audience to make a reasonable “artistic” decision on this, so for the moment I’ll assume they’ve managed to come up with a solid three films worth of material.
But the book is considerably shorter than any one of the three Lord of the Rings titles, so I have a genuine concern that this is just so they release them the same way they did the LOTR series.
The full trailer for Taken 2 is here, and it looks awesome!
But not only does this film have Liam Neeson kicking ass, but the director’s name is Olivier Megaton! Yes, MEGATON!
Following our conversation on the podcast where we discussed the controversial guy-sucks-his-own-dick scene in John Cameron Mitchell’s infamous film Shotbus, we decided to take a look, and film our reactions for your amusement. Enjoy!
It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph McQuarrie.
His influence on design will be felt forever. There’s no doubt in our hearts that centuries from now amazing spaceships will soar, future cities will rise and someone, somewhere will say…
“that looks like something Ralph McQuarrie painted.”
